Amazing food! The owner is super nice! We had driven for a long time and stopped in Newtown for a break. Even though it was almost closing time, the owner stayed late to make us fresh food. They even hand-wrote the names of the dishes on each package and wrapped everything in double layers to keep it warm. This was honestly the kindest thing that happened on our trip. This place deserves a perfect score!

Me and my partners favourite takeaway in town, we absolutely love this place!! The Greek menu is delicious and full of flavour. We highly recommend the Bifteki and Chicken Souvlaki. The staff are also very friendly and hardworking. We are never disappointed eating here & have recommended to all our friends and family. Thank you for the Pepsi tonight

Easily the best chippy in Newtown, everything was cooked fresh to order including the chips! No queues and the owners are extremely friendly and polite. 10/10 service 10/10 food

On a trip around the Welsh countryside, decided to have a bite a local fast food in Newtown. We chose Fish King as it had a close by parking and also parking place in front of the store. The whole area of Newtown is beautiful but around the city centre, where Fish King is situated, everything is especially nice. I had a fish and chips and my wife a special selection of chips, mushrooms, mushy peas, cod bites, and chicken. The portions are absolutely enormous. We could not eat all of it. Their usual customers noticed immediately that we are not locals and kept praising the shop as the best fast food in town. We did not test all of them but the locals might have and i believe them. The batter was crispy and barely a few drops of oil were on the box. The river side offers amazing views and it is a perfect place to relax after great food. Definitely recommend.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of being a guest in Fish King . The fish here is very tasty, it is not soaked in oil as it happens in other places. I also ate Greek Salad, very tasty. The dishes served here are packed in very nice and practical boxes, especially for children. The service here is very good and helpful. I can recommend this place , and I can say that I will come back here for sure .
